Rubber protective wax
Rubber and rubber protective wax can form a solid solution. Under high temperature (e.g. vulcanization temperature), rubber protective wax can be completely dissolved in the rubber. Under lower temperature where rubber protective wax has poor dissolubility in the rubber, the rubber protective wax will become oversaturated in the rubber. Hence, the rubber protective wax will continuously transfer to the surface of the rubber from inside the rubber, thereunder forming a homogenous wax film, which will block the contact between ozone in the atmosphere and rubber surface.
Paraffin is mixed with microcrystal wax to certain ratio (i.e. normal alkane is mixed with isoalkane to the ratio). When crystalized, irregular, dense and thicker wax film will come into being, which can effectively prevent ozone penetration. As a result, ozone is properly protected. Generally, the ratio of normal alkane to the isoalkane is 25 %~45 %.
Paraffin products manufactured by Tianshi with high melting points are premium quality materials for rubber protective wax industry.
Abrasion resistant agent for rubber
Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) is a good self-lubricating material. As the molecules of their polymers are nonpolar, the transfer film can easily come into being with low shearing strength on the abrasion surfaces. This can improve friction performance and abrasion resistance of the rubber. In addition, its extremely low surface can also improve block resistance of the rubber.
